Read Schulte rules if the flow is new, then run a few rounds on the Start training page. Habits below follow a common practice order.
Lock onto 1
Find 1 with a quick sweep, tap it, then hunt 2 with soft peripheral vision—do not read every cell aloud in your head.
Keep a rhythm
Space taps evenly. Long pauses show up as extra “long pause” counts—next round, shorten hesitation before each tap.
Pick the right size
Use 5×5 for daily work, 3×3 to warm up, 7×7 to stretch search distance. Stay on one size for three runs before switching.
Trust the numbers
Compare average spacing and personal bests after each run. Sudden slowdowns usually mean a messy scan path, not a vague “lack of focus.”
