Schulte tables train visual search and steady focus. Below is the standard flow and how this site's controls map to it. Practice on the Start training page; habits live in Schulte strategy.

Goal

Each round shuffles digits 1 through N across the grid. Start at 1 and tap upward in order until N is hit. The round ends when every digit is tapped correctly in sequence.

Timer

Timing starts on your first correct tap on 1. Elapsed time and progress stay in the header until you finish, then stats update in the side panel.

Mistakes

Tapping the wrong digit adds to the error count and flashes the frame; you still hunt for the current target. Tap New for a fresh shuffle.

Grid sizes

Choose 3×3 through 7×7 under the board. Larger grids mean longer searches. Changing size reshuffles digits; personal bests are tracked per size.

Common questions

Must I stare at the center cell?

No. Most players lock onto 1 first, then use soft peripheral vision for the next target—see the strategy page for habits.

Can I tap larger numbers first?

No. Order must stay 1, 2, 3…; skipping ahead counts as a mistake.

Is the side-panel analysis a medical test?

No. It is practice feedback about rhythm and pauses, not a clinical assessment.
